Welcome to the
Simplification Centre

Most of us struggle with the complex information we rely on to live our lives – forms to tax our car, contracts for mobile phones, loan agreements, user guides. We don't think it has to be as bad as it so often is.

The Simplification Centre works with organisations who need to communicate complex information. We explore new ways to communicate, we help, we educate, and we put them in touch with their customers.

The RNIB's See It Right guide has had a huge and positive impact on the presentation of public information. But we've noticed the Clear Print standard of a 12pt minimum is sometimes rigidly applied, with the result that tables and diagrams (that usually require smaller sizes) are discouraged. But these devices themselves make information easier to use. In a new technical paper we argue for a debate about a flexible approach. Download The Clear Print standard: arguments for a flexible approach and tell us what you think..
